The floor isn't overlooked; it's just a REALLY expensive upgrade when the money could be better spent elsewhere. We don't need ideas on where to spend more money, we need help organizing while spending as little as possible. Unfortunately, most content creators don't know how to do this either!

I loved my prusas, but they're slow and not great. I bought a creality k1 max (unicorn version), and I immediately didn't regret it. Yeah ok i needed some minor refinement, but Prusa just isn't hitting the same spot. Prusa should go larger and target the mid range market, they're already doing that with xl but frankly, it needs to be faster.

Hey Travis. I love your content. You are a big inspiration. Because of a lot of your ideas, I can’t stop thinking about organizing my garden shed, and my workbench tool area. I also really want to get into 3-D printing. I do have one question that I know that you know the answer to, but I don’t think you have ever talked about. Your business seems to be thriving and expanding rapidly. At what point, if at all, would it make sense to move away from 3-D printing to molded plastic parts? Is the idea to control the means of production and keep it all in house? Just curious.

It may have been an anomaly... but... Prusa has never had to recall every single one of it's printers in a specific line. I not positive, but I haven't heard of even one Prusa printer catching fire. Add to that the fact that Prusa keeps Bees and Lamas, and makes an amazing printer... then I can't really see them in the same light as Blackberry. Blackberry had their heads buried... either in the sand or somewhere else. Prusa does not.

7:54 - I use to work in a print shop where we cut down huge parent sheets of paper into smaller sizes post-print, using a hydraulic powered guillotine cutter... I think this would help you in your efficiency and speed. It would also help to reduce worker injury from joint pain and inflammation from repeated actions of lifting the, what appears to be, paper cutter blade up and down, and up and down, over and over again. It doesn't have to be hydraulic - I'm sure they've made better ones since the ancient one that we had... Best of luck! I look forward to watching more of your videos..

I use to work at a factory that had a "Flow" system in place. For every unit that went out the door, all material was re-ordered. At the end of the week if 100 units were sold, material automatically was ordered. I didn't understand it myself. I just assume it's off sales, and sales history. Con-bons were used just for line feed of supplies and inventory. Awesome to see your progress. As a self-employed person myself, it's impressive to see another expand.

Agreed. Bambu Lab is a prime example of why competition is important. Without Bambu Lab, we'd still be printing slow, but thanks to them, pretty much every manufacturer was suddenly able to release high speed printers. Prusa used to be an industry standard, but they either got lazy, too comfortable, or just couldn't be innovative enough anymore. That said, the principle of the XL is probably gonna be the next big thing. People like to do multicolored prints more and more, and multi-material prints are growing in popularity too, so reducing material waste is a very important step here.

Like a lot of people here, I do think it is impressive with how far you've come. You are in a seemingly enviable position with your booming business and RUclips channel. I work as a manufacturing engineer for my day job and I would like to have my own enterprise too, but I'm not sure I would want to recreate what I do for work at home. Although it's useful, I truly hate lean six sigma and most of it's nomenclature (I'm glad it works for you). I hear the words Kanban or Kaizen and I shudder. That being said, I'm glad you're splitting things up. Even with as far as you've come and all it's glory, there was something charming about your work with an at home shop. It was more attainable for the average person to aspire to and your solutions have been pretty interesting in that area.

Can't wait for all the NOOBS ho fall into this trap once the bambu needs service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With no service distribution centers and difficult to work on, it will be half the cost of the printer!!! I have had two come through my shop for service, they were upset to find out the rate for service matches that of a car so a 2 hour service job plus parts is half the price of the printer. NOOBS be ware, learn printing on a simple machine that you setup then you can service the more complex machines. There is no such thing as easy and cheap Bambu!!!!!

Thing is, blackberry was a business phone in a consumer market. bamboo lab is a toy company in a tool market. i don't know any hackers that respect bamboo lab. they're propriety fiddly garbage looks slick and all but it's no tool for serious people looking to get work done who don't have time for cloud horse shit. there may be a market for fiddly consumer garbage in the 3d printing market but it will never take away from the market of people who need a printer that they can actually rely on and that doesn't need proprietary garbage to operate.
